N.V. Ramana, B.Sc., B.L., was born in an agricultural family on August 27, 1957 in Ponnavaram Village, Krishna District. He enrolled as an Advocate on February 10, 1983. Justice Deepak Gupta
Born on 7th May, 1955 in Nurpur, Kangra District (Himachal Pradesh) in a family of lawyers. His father, late Shri M.R. Gupta was a leading Advocate of Shimla. Justice Gupta obtained his law degree from Delhi University in 1978. He practised in the High Court of Himachal Pradesh and was appointed as Judge of the Himachal Pradesh High Court on 4th October, 2004.
He remained Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Himachal Pradesh twice. He headed the Green Bench. Justice Gupta remained Executive Chairman of the H.P. State Legal Services Authority and the President of the H.P. Judicial Academy, Shimla for more than three years. He also headed the Committee on Computerization of the Courts in Himachal Pradesh.
He took oath as the first Chief Justice of High Court of Tripura on 23.03.2013. He was transferred and took oath as the Chief Justice of High Court of Chattisgarh on 16.05.2016.

Born on 17.10.1957. Belongs to a family of professionals in law. His grandfather was a prominent civil lawyer who voluntarily left practice at the prime of his professional career at the age of 65. His father retired as Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court in the year 1991.

Justice Mukeshkumar Rasikbhai Shah
Hon'ble Mr. Justice M.R. Shah, B.Sc., LL.B. was born on May 16, 1958. He was enrolled as an Advocate on 19th July, 1982 and practiced in the Gujarat High Court in Civil, Criminal, Constitutional, Taxation, Labour, Service and Company matters and specialized in Land, Constitutional, Education, Excise, Custom matters. He was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Gujarat High Court on March 7, 2004 and appointed as Permanent Judge on June 22, 2005. He was appointed as Chief Justice of Patna High Court on August 12, 2018. He was elevated as a Judge of the Supreme Court of India on November 2, 2018.
He is due to retire on May 15, 2023.
Justice Ajay Rastogi
Was born on 18th June 1958. Followed in the footsteps of his father Late Shri. Harish Chandra Rastogi who was an eminent civil lawyer in Rajasthan High Court and joined the bar in 1982.
During his years at the bar practised in different spheres of law but specialized in constitutional and service laws. Was nominated as the standing counsel for the Rajasthan High Court in the year 1990 and continued as such till his elevation in the year 2004. Remained President of the Rajasthan High Court Bar Association at Jaipur in the year 1999-2000.
Pursuant to his appointment as a judge of the Rajasthan High Court he remained Executive Chairman of the State Legal Services Authority from 14.10.2013 to 18.10.2016. Under his stewardship, SLSA won the National Award from National Legal Services Authority for three consecutive years. Was appointed as the Administrative Judge of the Rajasthan High Court on 19.07.2014 and continued as such till his elevation as Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court on 01.03.2018. Also remained Acting Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court from 14.04.2016 to 13.05.2016.
Was elevated as Judge of the Supreme Court on 02.11.2018.
Justice Dinesh Maheshwari
Born on 15th May, 1958, Graduated in Law from Jodhpur University in 1980. Enrolled as an Advocate on Mar 08, 1981. Practised mainly on Civil & Constitutional sides. Took oath as Judge of Rajasthan High Court on Sep 02, 2004. His Lordship transferred to Allahabad High Court and took oath on Jul 19, 2014. His Lordship took Oath as The Chief Justice of the High Court of Meghalaya on the 24th February 2016. His Lordship took oath as The Chief Justice of High Court of Karnataka on 12th February 2018.
Justice Sanjiv Khanna
Born on 14th May, 1960, Passed out from Modern School at Delhi in 1977 and thereafter, did graduation from Delhi University as a student of St. Stephens College in 1980. Studied law at Campus Law Centre, Delhi University and was enrolled as an Advocate with Bar Council of Delhi in 1983. Practiced mainly in Delhi High Court on tax, commercial, civil, arbitration and writ jurisdiction. Was senior Standing Council for Income Tax Department at Delhi High Court for seven years before his elevation. Was also appointed as a Standing Council for Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi at the Delhi High Court in December 2004. Had also represented Government of Delhi in Criminal matters in the Delhi High Court as Additional Public Prosecutor. Handled several matters of medical negligence cases under the Consumer Protection Act and also company matters before the Company Law Board and the Delhi High Court. Elevated as Additional Judge of Delhi High Court on 24th June, 2005 and a permanent Judge on February 20, 2006.
Justice Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai
Born on 24th November, 1960 at Amravati . Joined Bar on 16th March, 1985. Worked with late Bar. Raja S. Bhonsale , former Advocate General and Judge of High Court, till 1987. Practiced independently at Bombay High Court from 1987 to 1990. After 1990, practised mainly before Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court. Practised in Constitutional Law and Administrative Law. Was Standing Counsel for Municipal Corporation of Nagpur, Amravati Municipal Corporation and Amravati University . Appeared regularly for various autonomous bodies and Corporations like SICOM, DCVL etc. and various Municipal Councils in Vidarbha region. Was appointed as Assistant Government Pleader and Additional Public Prosecutor in the High Court of Judicature at Bombay , Nagpur Bench, from August, 1992 to July, 1993. Was appointed as Government Pleader and Public Prosecutor for Nagpur Bench on 17th January, 2000. Elevated as Additional Judge of the High Court on 14th November, 2003.

Born on February 10, 1962 in a middle class family of District Hisar; passed his Matric standard examination in the year 1977 from the village school and did Graduation in 1981 from the Government Post-Graduate College, Hisar; earned his Bachelor's degree in Law in 1984 from Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak.
Started practicing Law at the District Courts, Hisar in 1984 and shifted to Chandigarh in 1985 to practice at the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
Specialized in Consititutional, Service and Civil matters.
Represented a number of Universities, Boards, Corporations, Banks and the High Court before earning the distinction of being appointed the youngest Advocate General of Haryana on July 7, 2000. Designated as Senior Advocate in March, 2001.
Held the office of Advocate General, Haryana till his elevation as a Permanent Judge to the Punjab and Haryana High Court on January 09, 2004. Was nominated as a Member of the National Legal Services Authority on February 23, 2007 for two consecutive terms till February 22, 2011.

Born on 20th May, 1959.
He enrolled as an advocate on November 21, 1984 and practised Civil, Constitutional, Company, Service and Labour matters in the High Court as well as the Civil and Labour Courts.
He also worked as legal advisor to Central Public Sector Undertakings and worked as Additional Central Government Standing Counsel from 1999 onwards till 2005.
He was appointed as an Additional Judge of the High Court of Karnataka on January 6, 2006 and became a permanent judge on March 1, 2007.
He was elevated as Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court on Octoer 29, 2018.

Born on 13th March, 1960. Passed S.S.C. with 68% marks in the year 1975, B.Sc. with 68% from M.G..Science College, Ahmedabad in the year 1979 and M.Sc. with Organic Chemistry from University School of Science in the year 1981. He did his LL.B. degree in the year 1984 with first class and LL.M. with First Rank in the First class in the year 1986 from L.A. Shah Law College, Ahmedabad.
He got two Gold medals, one of Principal M.S. Pandit Gold Medal and another from Bombay Hindu Law Research and Reform Association. He was a National Scholar in the year 1983-84 and 1984-85.
He enrolled as an Advocate on 28th July, 1984 and practiced at the High Court of Gujarat. He practiced in Civil, Criminal and Constitutional matters as well as Excise and Custom matters on behalf of Union of India at the High Court of Gujarat. Born on March 11th, 1958. Studied in Frank Anthony Public School, New Delhi, till 1976 and Graduated from Hindu College, Delhi University in 1979 and thereafter obtained L.L.B. degree in 1982.
Enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi in 1982. Commenced his career with Kaura & Company Advocates and thereafter joined his father S.N.S.Sistani who was a reputed Senior Advocate of this Court. Practiced in Delhi High Court mainly on Commercial, Civil, Writ, Original and Companies jurisdiction of the High Court of Delhi and the Supreme Court of India. Also appeared before the MRTP Commission, Debt Recovery Tribunal and Arbitrators. Apart from other the nature of litigation has handled cases relating to Constitutional, Banking, Finance and Excise, MRTP, Real Estate, Administration, Cooperate, Commercial Service etc.
Remained Advocate Delhi Government during which period had handled all kinds of cases on their behalf including cases relating to Directorate of Education, Excise, Service Matters etc. as well as remained Advocate for the Delhi Development Authority. Justice Dr. S. Muralidhar
S. Muralidhar began his law practice in Chennai in September 1984 and in 1987 shifted to the Supreme Court of India and the Delhi High Court. He was active as a lawyer for the Supreme Court Legal Services Committee and later was its member for two terms. His pro bono work included the cases for the victims of the Bhopal Gas Disaster and those displaced by the dams on the Narmada. He was appointed amicus curiae by the Supreme Court in several PIL cases and in cases involving convicts on the death row. Muralidhar was counsel for the National Human Rights Commission and the Election Commission of India and a part-time member of the Law Commission from December 2002 till May 2006 when he was appointed a judge of the Delhi High Court. Muralidhar was awarded the Ph D by the Delhi University in 2003. He is the author of `Law, Poverty and Legal Aid: Access to Criminal Justice' a book published by LexisNexis Butterworths in August 2004
Justice Hima Kohli
Born on 2nd September, 1959 in Delhi. Graduated in History (Hons.) from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi in 1979. Did Post Graduation in History with 1st Division from University of Delhi. Studied Law at The Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi and was enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi in 1984. Practiced mainly in High Court of Delhi in civil, appellate and writ matters including commercial and arbitration matters and cases relating to Multi-State Co-operative Societies. Was Standing Counsel and Legal Advisor to the New Delhi Municipal Council in the High Court of Delhi with effect from 1999-2004. Was appointed as the Additional Standing Counsel (Civil), Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi in the Delhi High Court in December 2004. Has represented Government of Delhi in several important public interest litigations. Was the Legal Advisor to the Public Grievances Commission, Delhi Pollution Control Committee, National Agricultural Co-operative Marketing Federation of India and National Co-operative Development Corporation and other private organizations, banks etc.

Justice Vipin Sanghi
Born on 27th October, 1961 at Nagpur. Shifted with family from Nagpur to Delhi in the year 1965. Did schooling in Delhi and passed out from Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, New Delhi in the year 1980. Went on to Graduate in B.Sc Mathematics (Hons.) from Delhi University, in the year 1983 and thereafter joined the LL.B. course at the Law Faculty, Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi. Completed the law course in the year 1986 and was enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi as an Advocate in the same year.
Is a third generation lawyer after his grandfather Late Shri V. K. Sanghi, Advocate and father Late Shri G. L. Sanghi, Senior Advocate. Initially worked in the office of Shri Mukul Rohatgi, Senior Advocate. Was appointed as a Central Government Panel Advocate and functioned as such during 1990-91. Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw
Born on 13th August, 1959 at Delhi. Studied at Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, New Delhi and passed the CBSE Examination in 1976 and joined Hans Raj College, Delhi University. Thereafter, did LLB from Campus Law Centre, Delhi University and enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi in July, 1982. Initially joined a solicitor's firm for 3 years and thereafter practiced law in the Delhi High Court and the subordinate courts mainly on the original side in the fields of real estate, family, civil and arbitration laws. Appointed as Additional Judge of Delhi High Court on 11.04.2008 and became Permanent Judge on 06.07.2011.
Justice J. R. Midha
Justice J.R. Midha was appointed as an Additional Judge of Delhi High Court on 11th April, 2008 and permanent Judge of that Court on 6th July, 2011.
Before elevation, Justice Midha had been practicing before the Delhi High Court, Supreme Court, and other Courts/Forums including MRTP Commission, National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, etc. Justice Midha was the Standing Counsel (Civil) of Govt. of NCT of Delhi before the High Court of Delhi from 2006 to March 2008.
From 1989 to 1992, Justice Midha was also teaching at Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, Delhi University. He taught various subjects including Code of Civil Procedure, Indian Evidence Act, Transfer of Property Act, Delhi Rent Control Act, Limitation Act, Arbitration Act, Motor Vehicles Act, Court Fees Act, Suit Valuation Act, Indian Registration Act and Indian Stamp Act. Justice Midha also compiled the synopsis and case material on the subjects of "Pleading and Conveyancing" and "Motor Accident Compensation" for the Campus Law Centre. While teaching, Justice Midha organized a Lok Adalat on Motor Accident Compensation in Campus Law Centre in 1991 in which the compensation was computed by the Law students under his guidance and the computation was given to the Lok Adalat Judges in advance to ensure that the claimants get fair and uniform compensation.
As a Judge, Justice J.R. Midha has actively initiated judicial reforms to speed up the payment of due compensation to the victims of the road accidents. He has been successful in his efforts to a great extent. The Claims Tribunal Agreed Procedure formulated at his initiative with the consent of all the Insurance Companies and Delhi Police provides that the police shall complete the investigation of a criminal case, collect the entire evidence relating to computation of compensation and file a Detailed Accident Report (DAR) with the Claims Tribunal within 30 days with a copy to the Insurance Company whereupon the Insurance Company shall compute the compensation and offer the same to the claimant within 30 days thereafter. If the amount offered by the Insurance Company is fair and reasonable, the Claims Tribunal shall pass a consent award and the compensation is paid within 30 days. However, if the amount offered by the Insurance Company is not fair, the Tribunal shall pass an award within 30 days thereafter meaning thereby that the claimants get the compensation within 90 to 120 days. From April, 2010 to July 2012, a total number of 21,830 claims were filed before Motor Accident Claim Tribunals in Delhi out of which, compensation has been awarded to the claimants in terms of the Claims Tribunal Agreed Procedure in 10,762 cases.
Justice Midha has written books on Motor Accident Claims Compensation and Amendments to the Code of Civil Procedure.
